A Daily Reminder

The Lord has placed special gifts and talents within each of us and has given every believer the promise that they can accomplish great things throughout their life. We are to recognize how special we are and know that in each of us is instilled an unfulfilled destiny that is waiting to take shape and accomplish that which God Almighty has intended. If you are feeling discouraged because you think you have nothing special to offer this world, be encouraged and know that God has great things instilled within your spirit that has yet to be realized and accomplished. Recognize that you are special and have many gifts within you that need to get out of your heart and into this world where you can make a positive impact on humanity.

For I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me and ye shall go and pray unto me and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.(Jeremiah 29:11-13)

And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

I’m thinking this assignment might be fun. I wanted it to be since the last two I’ve done seemed to be more serious. I’ve still not decided, even as I’m typing what to do for this week. I need someone to bounce ideas off of…my husband is so agreeable and just loves to do whatever pleases me. I wonder if Tamara had someone like that~~~Now for the assignment:

For this assignment I wanted to see who’s got the funniest, craziest, saddest, most creative or just best story about the family button box, button can or button jar. I love buttons! Any kind, any color, any size but mostly the vintage ones. So, I thought it would be fun to tell stories about or show pictures of our button boxes, cans, or jars. You can share pictures or not, but personally, I don’t have any pictures right now…I did find a really pretty graphic of one though, that I love and decided to use it for this weeks tag-a-long banner. While you’re doing the assignment go to five friends blog, that aren’t doing the BFS and encourage them to sign up and have fun with us. Leave a comment and link back to the assignment, please.

For my assignment:

When I was a little girl we used to travel about 5-6 hours to visit my grandparents. I always loved going to my grandma’s house because she had tons of fun things to do. We sewed with her and played out in the yard with my granddaddy and they would take us shopping sometimes. My granddaddy collected stamps and had tons of them, some were very expensive but my grandma had the better collection of beads and buttons. Every time we ever visited my grandma she would pull out her beads and buttons and we’d always make some kind of craft with them; necklaces, bracelets, clip on earrings My sisters and I just loved her button jar. My mom had one too and I always marveled at the difference sizes, shapes and colors of all her buttons. We weren’t allowed to play with my moms because she used them for all the clothes she made us. I need to start my own button jar because I know my daughter is fascinated with buttons as much as I was and she would love helping me to fill the jar.

Have fun telling your stories and showing your pictures if you’d like. Don’t forget to add your favorite verse for this assignment.

Proverbs 31: 23-26 –

23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
