I was pondering some ideas that I had last week for some assignments. I had a few already but decided to switch them out for something that would be more fun and on the lighter side. I sat and wrote out 6 weeks worth of assignments and made the graphics for them too. Now, I have things more organized and I can actually DO the assignments with you all and not have to get rushed to put the assignment up and then try to do my assignment too.
I was wondering tonight (Wed. March 26th) when the last time was that I laughed so hard my cheeks ached and my stomach hurt. This week I thought it would be fun to share one or two short experiences with everyone about one of those times in your lives. Tell a story or two about the last BIG laugh you had with your hubby or whole family. The don’t mean a little ha ha laugh…I’m talking about cheek hurtin’, gut wrenchin’,snortin’ out loud, almost wet my pants laughing moments!!! This can be a recent story or one from your childhood. We all want to laugh with you and enjoy these funny moments! Have fun and you can add pictures if you have any. Don’t forget: Add your favorite verse for this assignment.
Here’s mine:
A while back when my niece Breanna was living with us this happened so unexpectedly. She always hated going to bed and I mean with the worst feelings anyone could ever imagine. We always gave her ample warning that she had so and so minutes til it was time for her to go to bed…hoping to ease her tantrums, I guess. One night we (me, my hubby, and our daughter) had just reached out limit with her screaming and throwing things, including herself and kicking my husband when it was time for bed. Yes, she was raised this way, but not by us! It was early fall and my daughter and I had gone outside to sit on the swing and get away from all her crying and screaming. I got this wild idea to knock on the window to her room and disguise my voice just to grab her attention and hopefully get her to quiet down. So I reached up to the window and knocked on it, pretty loudly, and said in a deep gruff sounding voice, “You can’t even fake a good cry!!!!” I didn’t know if she heard me or not and figured she hadn’t because she was still crying, even louder now. Well, I went in the house and my husband was laughing so hard and I asked what was so funny. He could barely talk for laughing so hard, and Breanna came flying out of her room and said she wasn’t going back in the room. My husband still laughing and Breanna’s getting angrier now, she told me that her doll was evil!!! She said, she was holding it in bed with her and it started talking evil to her. What I also didn’t know was when I was outside knocking on the window my husband had just opened her door at the exact moment that I told her she couldn’t fake a decent cry. She thought it was doll talking to her and she told me she never wanted to see her again! We still laugh over that incident, gut laughter and cheeks hurting too. We’ve thought we’d send her the doll for a Christmas present or her birthday. My daughter wants to put one of those voice recorders in it and make an evil sounding laugh. I wouldn’t dream of letting her do it though. Now it’s your turn!
Psalms 38:12-13 – The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him; for he seeth that his day is coming.
P.S. My daughter is in her room giggling over me telling this story…we won’t get to sleep anytime soon…
