A Daily Reminder

The Lord has placed special gifts and talents within each of us and has given every believer the promise that they can accomplish great things throughout their life. We are to recognize how special we are and know that in each of us is instilled an unfulfilled destiny that is waiting to take shape and accomplish that which God Almighty has intended. If you are feeling discouraged because you think you have nothing special to offer this world, be encouraged and know that God has great things instilled within your spirit that has yet to be realized and accomplished. Recognize that you are special and have many gifts within you that need to get out of your heart and into this world where you can make a positive impact on humanity.

For I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me and ye shall go and pray unto me and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.(Jeremiah 29:11-13)

And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

Independence Day

Today is special for me because my new little granddaughter was born today!  Her name is Mary Lauren and she’ll be addressed as Lauren.  I’ll post pictures as soon as my daughter sends some to me.  My maternal grandfather was also born this day 90 years ago.

Today was a wonderful and relaxing day for us.  We had a cookout, between rain downpours, but we did manage to have about 4-5 hours of dry weather before it got dark and it’s been dry since then.  Some friends came over for dinner and we ate until we couldn’t move, then all the children had sherbet and the adults sat and drank some fresh hot coffee.  After that we followed the family that came over back to their house to help milk, feed, and water their cows, goats, chickens, and dogs.  Kelsey also helped put away bottles from the fresh milk that was dispensed and took up eggs to be washed, graded, and put in cartons to be sold.  They’re absolutely yummy and we don’t have near the stomach upset that we used to with store bought eggs.

We finished with the animals and drove to a nearby town to try and catch the fireworks display, but we missed seeing it but got to see many other displays while driving over and then went to Steak and Shake for everyone to have a milk shake.  It was a wonderful day and we are so blessed to have a Father that gave His son so that we could live.  Thank you dear Lord for all you gave.  Thank you to all the soldiers out thier fighting for the U.S. and fighting to help people in other countries who cannot help themselves.

  • OH Nancy – Congratulations on your new grandbaby. May your daughter’s babymoon be lovely and gentle. May she recover completely quickly – and yet rest and take the time it takes to just gaze into Lauren’s eyes and get to know her. May her other children adore her and calmly desire to hold her and love her too.

And may our Abba Father continually protect and provide for Lauren. May her parents raise her up to be a willing and capable servant in His Service. May she always love the Lord and may our Father in Heaven be raising up a Mighty Warrior in His army who will one day come and ask her to be his bride.

    Welcome to the world Lauren.

    Hugs Nancy

    Sombra
