A Daily Reminder

The Lord has placed special gifts and talents within each of us and has given every believer the promise that they can accomplish great things throughout their life. We are to recognize how special we are and know that in each of us is instilled an unfulfilled destiny that is waiting to take shape and accomplish that which God Almighty has intended. If you are feeling discouraged because you think you have nothing special to offer this world, be encouraged and know that God has great things instilled within your spirit that has yet to be realized and accomplished. Recognize that you are special and have many gifts within you that need to get out of your heart and into this world where you can make a positive impact on humanity.

For I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me and ye shall go and pray unto me and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.(Jeremiah 29:11-13)

And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

Variety is the Geek!

I admit it, I’m a techie…and I love it!  It sure it nice to have a little more freedom with my blog and now that I know how to makeover my template, I can do it more often…hee hee!   A comment was made, at my local co-op, about me having a new site “all the time”, but I think what was meant was I have had several new templates.  I gotta be comfy in my new web home, right?  I love variety, it’s very cool and I love the randomness of it.  VARIETY is the spice of life, by the way.  I can remember going to job interviews and telling the interviewer I can do any job, which I firmly believe that I can, as long as there is some variety to the job at hand.  I’ve never been one to sit at one job all day long, unless it’s working on the computer.  I mean, working on the computer, building it, not just typing blogs or playing with templates.  I love getting into the nitty gritty of things, my specialties are cars and computers!  I do love technology, truly, even though I don’t have that much high-tech stuff.

  •  I do have my only luxury of having satellite internet, which is kind of costly, but I don’t have other expenses to make it impossible for me and my family to enjoy having it.
  • I have a digital camera, a must in the days of Awards, Field Day, Spring Programs, and silly pet pictures.  I have a rather cheap MP-3 player that I love and my niece loves;  I make sure I keep lots of Christian music and Celtic music choices on it.  She uses the thing more than I do.
  • We have a DVD player that my daughter bought on layaway at Walmart several years back.
  • She owns a portable DVD player that we bought her last summer when we traveled the East Coast.
  • I also have my own business:  The Kings Kreations – I make greeting cards, invitations of all sorts, and lots of printing needs for people.  I type my Pastor’s essays for him, for free of course.  I should be making more money at what I do and I’ve been praying about prices and projects but I haven’t gotten His answer yet, so I wait on the Lord to show me what I should do.  I take donations for most of the work I do, just because it’s the Lord’s money and he gave me the gift to do these things.  Somehow, He saw me most fitting for the job.

So, that’s more about me and the geek in me.  I love that the Lord has blessed me with such gifts and that I am able to always work things in favor of uplifting Him.
