Memory Verse – Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
2 Chronicles 7:14-16

Introduction – I thought that I would hit the “easy button” this week and not only make the assignment light, but also give us a chance to get to know each other better through prayer.

Assignment – This week I would like you to post any prayer requests you have. What is going on in your life that you need prayer warriors for? Feel free to post an unspoken request if you feel it is too personal. Then if you would just take the time to visit as many other BFS buddies as possible, pray for them and then leave them a little note letting them know that you have prayed or will be praying.

Photo ideas: post a picture of your special prayer place, a picture of your prayer journal, a picture of your bible.

Here’s my assignment:

I have two prayer requests that I’d like to post.

The first is a Pastor (in IL)  that was gunned down in the middle of preaching his sermon Sunday morning.  I don’t know anything more than that other than he has a wife and two daughters.  There were also two members of the congregation injured while trying to help the Pastor.

The second one is a friend who has a 9 month old daughter with an ear infection and high fever.

Here’s a pretty picture I wanted to post.  dsc00005This is my frozen swing that I love to sit in during the warmer seasons of the year.  I usually have my morning coffee there, sometimes we have breakfast out on the swing, and then I sit there for time alone to pray or just to write in a journal or to write a poem.  I think I may be able to return to the comfort of my swing in the next day or few days.

  • I saw something about that Pastor on the news. Tragic! Praying for the above.

  • I also heard about this. I heard that he passed away, I think… so sad! I have lifted your request up to the Lord and I will continue to pray for them throughout this week.

  • Hi, Nancy! While the swing doesn’t look extremely inviting as a place to curl up and study right now, I must say it’s a very beautiful photo! I’ll be praying for a spring thaw, too!

I’m agreeing with you in prayer this week.

    Blessings, Sister!

  • Prayed for your requests. God bless!

  • Lord,
I know that the family of this Pastor are suffering, please keep them close to you, comfort them, and let them see you through all of their suffering. I pray that the person who committed this horrible act could come to know you, repent, and spend the rest of his life serving you. I ask for your healing and protection of the child who is sick and suffering. I ask that you keep Nancy’s family protected and that they may feel your love every moment of every day.
    In Christ’s name, Amen.

  • Praying, let us know if you hear anything.

  • Praying for your requests.

Although your swing does not look very cozy at the moment I bet it’s a beautiful place to sit when the weather is nice.

  • I see that it is frozen in time there-hopefully ole man winter will take a hike for ya asap. Thanks for stopping by my blog….have a good weekend-will pray for ya too.
