Resurrection Day Poem

On April 4, 2010 by Nancy

Though tortured, mocked and spat upon;
no longer on the cross.
Not a victimization, but a demonstration
of a love no earthly soul can comprehend.
Being on the cross didn’t make Jesus powerless,
it was an offering of love and grace.
An offering of the most courageous, most powerful,
and the strongest of all love.
He said he would rise and
even through the spies in the night
He rose.
Not for notoriety or fame
but only out of grace.
