A Daily Reminder

The Lord has placed special gifts and talents within each of us and has given every believer the promise that they can accomplish great things throughout their life. We are to recognize how special we are and know that in each of us is instilled an unfulfilled destiny that is waiting to take shape and accomplish that which God Almighty has intended. If you are feeling discouraged because you think you have nothing special to offer this world, be encouraged and know that God has great things instilled within your spirit that has yet to be realized and accomplished. Recognize that you are special and have many gifts within you that need to get out of your heart and into this world where you can make a positive impact on humanity.

For I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me and ye shall go and pray unto me and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.(Jeremiah 29:11-13)

And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

What is Love?

Someone asked, “What is love” and I wanted to put my response in here:

Love is a many different things; putting the ones you care about most before yourself, knowing that no matter how hard things get for yourself, someone else always has it harder. Sometimes loving someone is respecting their family’s wishes and doing things you might not want to do because you love them. Sometimes it’s waiting all night on that one text message, to see the words, I love you, and knowing that no matter what happens you can have the peace of knowing you’re loved and finally sleep and rest. It can be easy or love can be hard.
Love is doing hard things and sometimes pushing the point of what’s hard and going a little further with it. It’s scary and cozy warm at the same time. It’s going places you don’t want to because the end result is finding your own happiness. It can be having everything or having nothing and finding everything together with that one special person or just finding it within yourself. It’s happy, sad, joyful, painful, it’s your highest high and your lowest low, but it’s love and it’s what we want.  Here’s more I’m thinking of today: love can help you grow up and become happy or love can hurt and one becomes sad, lost, and depressed, but would that have ever been love?
Love isn’t limited, there’s no way to know the completeness of love and the beauty of it is that love is never-ending, so there’s always going to be more. What would love be like if there was a completeness to it?  Would you really want to know, I wouldn’t.  I rely on love being perpetual and knowing that even if one expression of love fails, there’s always another expression of it right around corner. A person can give and show love in many different ways, not only romantic; but also loving your neighbors by helping them out, loving your community by doing what you can to be supportive, just loving people and being a good friend shows love. If you want to know what Noah Webster defines as love, it’s on this link.
