A Daily Reminder

The Lord has placed special gifts and talents within each of us and has given every believer the promise that they can accomplish great things throughout their life. We are to recognize how special we are and know that in each of us is instilled an unfulfilled destiny that is waiting to take shape and accomplish that which God Almighty has intended. If you are feeling discouraged because you think you have nothing special to offer this world, be encouraged and know that God has great things instilled within your spirit that has yet to be realized and accomplished. Recognize that you are special and have many gifts within you that need to get out of your heart and into this world where you can make a positive impact on humanity.

For I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me and ye shall go and pray unto me and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.(Jeremiah 29:11-13)

And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

Remember when ….

In the Nook…

I just found this request and went to the site to read about this young woman.  I’ve been keeping up with the welfare of Heather George of Especially Heather and found this post about a comment that she received from another cancer patient.

I received this comment and wanted to share it with you:   from Especially Heather’s blog

Now for a favor, if I may be so bold. My friend, Kim, is a full-time law student raising a teenager and battling breast cancer. She’s been nominated for a $10,000 scholarship for blogging on her battle with cancer while in law school. I was hoping you might consider a post asking others to vote for her. She’s up against 19 other blogs, mostly full-time undergrad students. Obviously, as you know from the money many of us pitched in to help you early on, the money from this scholarship would be a huge help to Kim and her family.

Her blog is at: Law Mom
the voting link is at: Vote For the Winner of the 2007 Blogging Scholarship

I would like to encourage each and every one of you to vote for this mom. I can’t begin to tell you what a burden cancer can be when you have children, but like the above comment says, I can attest to the money you guys pitched in being a huge blessing to me and my family, including my children.

This is my small way of paying it forward, and I need your help in doing so.

Those things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, Do.
And the peace of God will be with you.
-Philippians 4:9

After looking at the statistics I noticed that Kim is way ahead in the race to help her family win that much needed money.  Won’t you consider reading her blog and voting for her to win too?  Also, check out Heathers blog as well and read her latest update from the Dr. she goes to for her brain cancer.

May you be blessed~
