Intro:  Live Like There’s No Tomorrow (Lincoln, Mercury, Ford)

Assignment: We only have today. Should God take you today, have you accomplished everything that you wanted to, needed to. Have you said all the things that needed to be said?  Let’s have no regrets, let’s make sure we get to those things, so that when we’re standing before the Lord, the only thing we need to do is to worship him.. and not regret not getting to that thing on our to do list. Stop - go take care of that thing…. then, come tell  us what you choose to share. Don’t embarrass yourself or any of your loved ones.

Memory Verse: Ecclesiastes 1:13-14

I devoted myself to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under heaven. What a heavy burden God has laid on men! I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

I’ve written about this before and not having regrets.  I received quite a few comments implying that maybe I need to rethink my post.  I can say with all honesty that I have things I’ve done in the past that I’m not proud of…many years ago, but I don’t have things I regret doing because I wouldn’t have learned from those things.

I do have things I need to do and things I’d like to say to some people.  Nothing nasty or mean, that’s not the kind of woman that God wants us to be and I couldn’t be that way at all.  I’d love to make sure my family knows how much I love them and how much I would love for them to turn their lives over to Christ and live that way, in the way we were raised to do.  I’d love to have my oldest daughter trust me and allow me to love her openly and freely without feeling like everyone is out to hurt her.  I’ve come to realize through some pretty hard circumstances that no matter how I feel, I cannot control how others feel and how they behave.  If today were my day for the Lord to take me the only thing I would want to KNOW is that my husband any my daughters are being well cared for and learning to carry on with their lives.

Feels like I’m looking to Heaven!

My verse is a chapter:  Ecclesiastes 3.  Have a blessed day and enjoy the giveaway this week!  I’ve signed up for about 30 of them so far, mostly gifts for other people.

This week’s assignment was to share how you relax.  I should know because I gave the assignment this week…I’ve had a hard time getting my own assignment done.  It wasn’t hard by any stretch, I was just busy and very tired.  So, here it is…how I relax.  Usually I sit on the swing with my cup of coffee and sometimes a notebook for writing.  Yes, I like to sit outside even if it’s cold outside.  I like to think of winter as God’s watering time…snow melts and waters the earth!  The fall and winter seasons are my favorite time of the year.  There is much more work involved for us during these seasons we because we burn wood for heat and we spent literally months getting wood gathered for the whole season, or we try I should say.  Then there’s the chore of lugging it in every few days or if it is wet outside we bring lots of it in everyday to make sure it stays dry.  We also use a tarp to cover it but sometimes the winds blow that off.  How else do I relax?  I love to make my mother’s recipe for hot cocoa and I also love hot flavored teas.  I like more hot drinks than I do cold.  I especially love to drink just plain water, even if it’s warm.  I usually am curled up with a cat or dog near me or at my feet.

Shaggy the Schaunzer! Another Cuddle Bug

Scooby, Our Pomeranian

In order they are Sylvie she’s a Burmese and mom to Misty in the next picture, Shaggy the Schaunzer, and Scooby the Pomeranian.  I just have to share the next two kitties we have too.

So that’s how I relax!  With an animal and something hot to drink.  My verse is the memory verse for this week.  Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Memory Verse: Psalms 13:6 NIV
I will sing to the Lord, for He has been good to me.

Please try to learn our memory verse this week. We will be sharing a new verse every week and hope that you will store them in your hearts and find a special joy in His words.

Intro: M’m M’m Good (Campbell’s Soup)
The fall is such a wondeful time of year.  The beautiful foliage and cool, crisp morning air is such a wonderful change from the hot summer.  I also love the M’m M’m good smell of fall cooking and baking.  The wonderful fall veggies, fruits and Thanksgiving foods.

Assignment:  Post your favorite fall recipe/recipes to share.  I love trying new recipes, do you?  It can be baking, main dishes, veggies, dessert or anything else you can think of.  There are no limits.  Mmmmmm..I can’t wait to take a look at some of those recipes.

My Assignment:

I love the Fall season!  It is my all time favorite time of the year.  I don’t really have any new recipes to share, personally I don’t use recipes, I use ingredients, tell me what is in it and I’ll cook it.  Something m’m m’m good this year that is new for me is that I’m following God’s commandment for my life.  I’ve spent many years asking God, ” What do you want from me?  What is the purpose you have for my life?”  I’ve never been one to be afraid of asking questions.  This year I’m asking the hard questions.  I’m asking for financial support for a cause that I firmly believe in and support unquestionably!  I’ve really put myself out there and it’s been m’m m’m good!  I love what I’m doing and it brings out the very BEST of me.  As for a favorite verse:

Psalm 63: 1, 2

1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

Intro: Never Leave Home Without It (Marketing Credit:  American Express) Diapers, bottles, wipes, bibs, pacifiers, extra clothing, cell phone, PDA, ipod, iphone, credit or debit cards … what would you never leave home without?

Assignment: In the memory verse Jesus tells us that He will never leave us, not even at the end of the world.  He assures us in this verse that He will be with us and that means through everything we go through in life.  I thought it would be interesting to write about the things we would never leave home without.  For some it might be baby needs, others it might be a gym bag and bottle of water, and for some  it might be your Bible and a notepad or small journal, maybe even your son or daughters favorite blankie!  I’d like for you to write about something that you would never leave home without.

I absolutely, positively never leave home without my keys, my camera, and purse.  If I’m going somewhere alone or just with my duaghter then I always take the cell phone.  We never go anywhere without our Bibles that’s because we keep our favorite Bibles in the car most of the time and have Bibles in the house to use for studying.  After losing our home to a fire a person’s mental state changes and even the smallest things become more important.  Just a thought I had…

I’ve taken some great pictures also, because of being blessed with my camera:

My Younger Sister Deedy

Gerald\'s first time in the ocean - Spring 2006

These are all outdoor pictures that would not have been caught if I’d not had my camera on hand.  I love my camera.  I’ve already posted my verse in the assignment.
