A Daily Reminder

The Lord has placed special gifts and talents within each of us and has given every believer the promise that they can accomplish great things throughout their life. We are to recognize how special we are and know that in each of us is instilled an unfulfilled destiny that is waiting to take shape and accomplish that which God Almighty has intended. If you are feeling discouraged because you think you have nothing special to offer this world, be encouraged and know that God has great things instilled within your spirit that has yet to be realized and accomplished. Recognize that you are special and have many gifts within you that need to get out of your heart and into this world where you can make a positive impact on humanity.

For I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me and ye shall go and pray unto me and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.(Jeremiah 29:11-13)

And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye… and YES science now shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and the function of the eyes. A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The Heart is red and [...]

Whatever It Takes…

I was reading a friends blog and her subject line was, “Whatever It Takes”.  I wonder how many have actually said to the Lord, whatever it takes, wherever you lead me, I will follow!  My friend writes about how she dared not to say those words to the Lord for fear that, whatever it takes, [...]

A few things about Menopause~

I’m not a doctor or nurse so I’m writing strictly from my own experiences. A few things I    have noticed about being menopausal:

~Anxiety can be worse than your worst nightmare! There’s such a fine line in the feelings involved in that and the symptoms of a heart attack. ~Energy seems non-existent at times. [...]

Dear Lane Bryant,

I’m sorry, but it’s over between us. I realize that we’ve had a long and complex relationship throughout the years, and although you’ve seen me through many (size) changes, I feel it’s for [...]

A Christian

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston, Texas.

Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. [...]

Food for Thought

Another new year and, as most of us do, time for a little self-examination, thinking about the year passed and just what sort of changes in our life, and/or lifestyle, we could implement that would make this year, 2009, the best ever. Well, if it’s like any other year the majority of us will find [...]

A Ray of Darkness

I recently read this and really like it.  It’s hard to explain what it means to me but the poem itself causes me to think that this is where I must be in this stage of my life.

A ray of darkness has entered my life. Not knowing has finally brought the perpetual motion of [...]

He Brightens My World!

My husband brightens my world, quite literally in fact.  He has been on a rampage the last few days to brighten the house with new light bulbs.  We’ve added a new drop light in the kitchen, which has helped us tremendously with having more light.  He changed the bulbs in the bathroom because one had [...]

A Promotion, though Sadly Missing a Friend!

We at Blogger Friend School wish to offer our deepest condolences to a former friend and participant here at Blogger Friend School, Chrissy–MamaSmurf. She not only touched everyone’s hearts with some beautiful posts, but always made it around to offer encouragement to many blogger classmates and friends despite her ailing frailness as she battled cancer.

Smiling Rainbow

This rare spectacle – which curves up rather than down – was caught on camera at the weekend by an astronomer near her home in Cambridge.

The “smiling” band of brilliant colours is known as a circumzenithal arc. It occurs when sunlight bounces off ice crystals high in the atmosphere, sending the [...]
